CBDVA, also known as cannabidivarinic acid, is a lesser-known cannabinoid found in cannabis plants. It is a precursor to CBD (cannabidiol) and undergoes decarboxylation to convert into CBD. CBDVA is typically found in higher concentrations in raw, unheated cannabis plants. Like CBD, CBDVA is non-intoxicating and does not produce a psychoactive effect. Research on CBDVA is still in its early stages, but preliminary studies suggest potential therapeutic benefits, such as anti-inflammatory and anti-epileptic properties. Further research is needed to fully understand the potential uses and effects of CBDVA.
