Get ready to start drooling because this week we’re chatting with Lucy Bussell, the founder of the Los Angeles area Lucy Goosey Edibles and I’m going to show you all the yummy-looking treats she makes.
First up; A little background on Lucy Goosey Edibles. While Bussell has been baking infused treats for the past few years, she only formally launched her company in October of 2016 and has been waking up to a job she loves doing ever since. She handcrafts all the menu items using high-quality ingredients and fully activated THC distillate for “ultimate potency” and offers her customers the option to order in mixed boxes of 6 items or more. For example, The Sampler Box ($20) comes with 2 Pecan Turtles, 2 Pretzel Turtles, 1 Rice Krispie Treat (seasonal), and 1 Brownie (seasonal) but you can customize your order to include any item on the classic menu.
Chocolate

If a regular supply of cannabis chocolates sounds just right to you there’s good news because, for $ 50 USD a month, you can get a mixed box delivered right to your door. Bussell has made purchasing from her website easy and simple and it’s clear that she aims to enhance her customer’s experiences and really give people exactly what they want. From seasonal items to the ability to mix and match treats in your orders, you’ll definitely get only the products you really crave.
Bussell tells us that at first, she was nervous to tell people what she was doing but soon realized that her fears were for nothing. “My family and friends have been very supportive of my company and that really keeps me motivated,” she says.
“Being an entrepreneur in the cannabis industry is literally my dream job.”
— Lucy Bussell
On Getting Her Day Started
The internet is full of blog posts about how successful entrepreneurs schedule their time and get their days started. Morning rituals are important for many people to feel focused and ready, so we asked Bussell how she starts each day: “Every morning I pull out my laptop and see what’s going on in the cannabis world. I check and respond to emails, drink coffee, and smoke a bowl. It’s my morning ritual and I love it.” Bussell is a night owl and is at her most creative late at night so her day usually starts around 10 am.
“If I don’t have a to-do list written out I am not as productive for sure.” She says and there is truth to that, a good to-do list strategy either on paper or your device will help most people stay focused on what is important plus most of us get a charge out of crossing items off the list. Being a Boss in the Cannabis Industry
“I find having the opportunity to be my own boss and run my business incredibly rewarding in itself,” Bussell says but for her, the real payout comes from being part of a movement and helping to educate people about the benefits of cannabis. “I want everyone to know how amazing and life-enhancing the responsible use of cannabis can be. I encourage people who have never experimented with cannabis to try one of my microdose edibles so they can feel the benefits without worrying about taking too much.”
