Node; cultivation

A node is a critical point on a cannabis plant’s stem where leaves, branches, or flowers emerge, serving as a junction for growth. They are essential for training techniques like topping or fimming, where growers cut above a node to encourage bushier growth and higher yields. The distance between nodes (internodal spacing) indicates plant health—shorter spacing often means better light exposure, while longer spacing may signal light deficiency. Healthy nodes are firm and green, supporting robust development throughout the plant’s lifecycle.
