Medical use:CBD Only
Recreational:No

Like Georgia, Iowa has a unique relationship with marijuana. In Iowa, all cannabis products are still totally illegal. Possession of marijuana for personal use is considered a misdemeanor offense, while possession with the intent to distribute carries felony charges and significant penalties. However, the state has enacted the Medical Cannabidiol Program, allowing patients over the age of 18 with eligible conditions to obtain a state-issued medical marijuana card. With this card, patients can access medical marijuana from one of five dispensaries across the state. It focuses on hemp and only allows patients to purchase up to 4.5 grams of THC every 90 days.
