A kief catcher is a device or component found in some types of herb grinders used for cannabis. It is typically a chamber or screen located at the bottom of the grinder where fine particles of kief can accumulate. Kief refers to the resinous trichomes that contain cannabinoids and terpenes found on the surface of cannabis flowers. When cannabis is ground in a grinder, the kief falls through the screen and collects in the kief catcher. This concentrated form of cannabis can be used to enhance the potency of joints, bowls, or vaporizers. It is often sprinkled on top of ground cannabis for an extra kick of potency.
