Arkansas voters approved Ballot Measure Issue 6 in 2016, legalizing medical marijuana in the state. Patients over the age of 18 with a qualifying medical condition or verified caregivers can possess up to 2.5oz (ounces) of cannabis for medical use every 14 days. To purchase cannabis, patients need to have a state-issued medical marijuana I.D. card, which requires a physician's written certification and a state I.D. Recreational weed is however highly illegal.
