Cannabis lubes are super hot right now, it seems like every time we turn around there’s another one on the market but DIYs are fun and if you just can’t bear to face that budtender selling infused lubes then this is the way to go!

    Ladies Only Lube

While it won’t hurt men to use this lube the effects won’t be the same for him. Women can expect to experience a warm tingling and heightened sensations while men usually report feeling less sensation – however, some men report prolonged performance so there’s that potential benefit too.

    Why Infuse the Lube?

Why not just use regular lube? Well, because when you add cannabis to your lubricant and apply it topically the THC causes blood to flow to your genitals which in turn increases sensations. This recipe can also help relax muscles and in some cases prevent pain (ideal for those who suffer from painful intercourse).

Note: In some cases, it can take up to 30-40 minutes to feel the effects so while it takes a bit of the spontaneity out of the situation now you have an excuse to excuse yourself and get prepped.

Additional Note: Oils traditionally do not mix well with latex so maybe look for a condom made with alternative materials!

    The Recipe

    Youwillneed:

    • A slow cooker
    • A funnel and cheesecloth
    • Jar or airtight container
    • 1 cup coconut oil or Sweet Almond Oil
    • 1 gram of hash or 1 cup of flower – Be sure to decarboxylate the flower first (grind it up, spread it on a baking sheet, and cook in the oven for 40 + minutes at 225 degrees)
    • A few drops of essential oil… Your preference
    • Optional: 1 Tablespoon Liquid Sunflower Lecithin

    How To

Combine the decarboxylated cannabis and oil in the slow cooker. Set to low and stir every hour or so. Allow to cook for 3-4 hours.

Optional: You can choose to add 1 Tablespoon Liquid Sunflower Lecithin to increase thickness and you’ll wind up with a finished product that has a syrupy consistency.

Once finished, strain the plant matter out of the oil using a cheesecloth inside a large funnel as you drain the oil into a jar. Be sure to get it all or else you may find leftover matter to be an irritant. Squeeze the cheesecloth to wring every last drop of oil out.

Add a few drops of essential oil such as ylang-ylang or jasmine. Peppermint or black pepper essential oil can add a little heat if that’s your flavor.

Store in an airtight container. Enjoy responsibly.
