Nutrient burn occurs when cannabis plants suffer from over-fertilization, leading to an excess of nutrients that damages tissues. Symptoms include brown or yellow leaf tips, curling edges, and a “burnt” appearance, often starting at the top of the plant. This condition stresses the plant, reducing photosynthesis and stunting growth, especially during flowering. It’s caused by overfeeding with fertilizers high in nitrogen, phosphorus, or potassium, or by poor soil drainage. To fix nutrient burn, flush the soil with pH-balanced water for several days, reduce fertilizer strength, and monitor nutrient levels to prevent recurrence, ensuring healthier plants.
