Air Curing
Air curing is a traditional cannabis drying method where freshly harvested buds are hung upside down in a well-ventilated space such as closet or self-inclosed environment. This slow, even process—typically lasting 7-14 days—allows moisture to escape naturally, preserving terpenes and other volatile cannabinoids for a smoother smoke and higher quality end-product. Temperature (60-70°F) and humidity (45-55%) are key to avoiding mold or over-drying. Fans or open windows keep air flowing, while darkness protects potency. Popular among purists, air curing enhances flavor and aroma, turning sticky nugs into a refined stash ready for jars or joints.
